The International Conference on Industrial Power Engineering – is a well-established scientific event organized once every 2 years by the “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău, The Faculty of Engineering, The Department of Power and Electrical Engineering.

This edition of the conference is dedicated to the memory of our colleague, prof. IOAN P. VIZITEU, who initiated it in 1995.

The conference is open to professionals from higher education institutions, research, design, operation, maintenance, equipment/product manufacturers and service providers from the fields of electrical and thermal power generation, transport, distribution and consumption.

The conference is organized under the aegis of the Romanian National Committee of CIGRE, with the purpose of bringing together the professionals interested in exchanging  views, ideas, solutions and the latest achievements within the power engineering field.

The first day of the eighth edition of the CIEI conference, Energy Day 2011, is part of the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW).
